Jodonne (Marcum) Reese

Mrs. Jodonne Marcum Reese, 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.  Mrs. Reese was born in Lyons, Georgia to the late John Henry and Donnie Mae Kight Marcum. She retired from Oxford of Lyons as a supervisor with eighteen years of service. Jodonne was a dedicated member of Bath First Baptist Church and a former director of their preschool department.

Mrs. Reese was preceded in death by her first husband, David Harold Bennett, her second husband, Ernest W. Reese, a son, Charles “Chuck” Reese, and two brothers, John Howard Marcum and Daniel Robert “Frank” Marcum and one sister Edith "Sister" Pauline Thompson (the late Bill).

Her family includes children, Edith “Edie” Pauline McDaniel (the late Gary), of Statesboro, GA and Lynda "Diane" Gregory (Bobby), of Gloverville, SC; three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Bath First Baptist Church followed by a Celebration of Life Service at Noon with Pastor Herb Sons officiating.

A graveside committal service will be Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in the Harden’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.
