Mrs. Joanne Denmark, age 77, of the McNatt Falls Community, died Wednesday, January 22, 2020, in Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, after an extended illness. She was a native of Thomas County; she grew up there and was a graduate of Thomas County High School. She worked as a seamstress for thirty-two years and retired from Cedar Apparel. She enjoyed sewing and was previously a CB radio buff. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen “Bud” Denmark; parents, Julius Adams and Minnie Moody Adams and a sister, Shirley Adams.
Mrs. Denmark is survived by three sons, Jimmy Hart and wife Diane of Cedar Crossing, Charles Hart of the Marvin Community, and Allen Denmark of McNatt Falls; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, January 24th, at 3:00 p.m. in the Cedar Crossing Cemetery with Wayne Kirkley officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Friday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
