Mr. James Harris “Jimmy” Reynolds, age 78, of Vidalia, died Monday, June 6, 2022, at Meadows Park and Rehab in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a native of Cedar Crossing, lived in Toombs County most of his life and in Bibb County for several years. He worked at Rosebud Manufacturing, Toombs County Road Department, and Bibb Distributing in Macon. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Cedar Crossing Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Reynolds; one daughter, Terrie Reynolds Swain; two grandchildren, Amber Higginbotham and Morgan Christine Reynolds; parents, Elbert Reynolds and Lovie Grace Rollins Reynolds; two brothers, Elbert “Stub” Reynolds and Billy Reynolds; and one sister, Flossie Reynolds.
His family includes one daughter, Deborah Reynolds Farmer of Cedar Crossing; one sister, Betty Reynolds Caves; one brother, Bobby Reynolds and wife Juanita, all of Cedar Crossing; grandchildren, Ashley Paez and husband Jorge of Winder, Mark Higginbotham and wife Sarah of Gray, Miranda Michelle Reynolds Scales and husband Will, Mason Reynolds, all of Macon, Kyle Lumley and wife Becky of Cedar Crossing, Shelby Wilson of Perry, Brittany Reynolds of Dublin, Dylan Reynolds of Cedar Crossing, Brandon Reynolds of Macon; ten great-grandchildren, Cole, Marleigh, Abby, Kimmie, Camilla, Isaac, Trey, Grayson, Julian and Liam; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 8th, at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Crossing Cemetery with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Wednesday morning from 9:00 until just prior to the service.
