Obituary
Mrs. Jimmie Lou Dixon, age 95, of Statesboro, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at The Oaks Bethany in Vidalia. She was a native of Georgia and lived in Maryland until retiring to Statesboro, Georgia many years ago. She was a hairstylist and an avid reader. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Charles Whittle and Mattie Lou Cole; and six siblings.
Her family includes two sons, Felton Dwayne Dixon and wife Melissa of North Carolina and Thomas Edward Dixon and wife Lori of Maryland; one daughter, Nona Faye Dixon Paoletti and husband Paul of Maryland; one brother, Charles Whittle and one sister, Jean Ramsey, both of Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Per her request, no formal services will be held.
