Jimmie Beasley Obituary

Mr. Jimmie Ray Beasley, age 88, of Lake Wales, Florida, died Monday, March 10, 2025, after a brief illness.  He was a native of Treutlen County and grew up in the Cedar Crossing Community in Toombs County.  In 1954, he moved to Apopka, Florida, in 1970 to Ashland, Virginia, returning in Florida in 1990, making Lake Wales his home.  He was a carpenter, building contractor, roofer, and was owner of J.R. Beasley, Inc.  He attended the Assemblies of God and the Church of God most of his life.  Jimmie enjoyed fishing, traveling, raising horses, and loved spending time with children and grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Beasley Satterwhite; parents, Berry Morrison Beasley and Lizzie Belle NeeSmith Beasley; two sisters, Esther Beasley Dowd and Bernice Beasley; and five brothers, Billy, Mark, C.A., J.W., and W.L. Beasley.

His family includes his wife of sixty-eight years, Jimmie Lou Taylor Beasley; three children, Elaina Marie Beasley Behm and husband Jim of Greeley, Colorado, Arlene Rae Beasley Morrison and husband Donald of Glen Allen, Virginia, and Aaron Ray Beasley and wife Christine of Clermont, Florida; one sister, Reba Beasley Waller of Cedar Crossing; nine grandchildren, Jamie Elizabeth Beasley and Brian Kane of Orlando, Florida, Derek James Behm and wife Courtney, Jason Andrew Behm, all of Greeley, Colorado, Stefanie Morrison of Honolulu, Hawaii, Caitlin Christine Beasley, Carissa Erin Beasley, both of Clermont, Florida, Crystal Michelle Satterwhite Guerrero of Corpus Christi, Texas, Donald Eugene Morrison III and wife Erin of Ashland, Virginia, and Joseph Lee Morrison and wife Carly of Glen Allen, Virginia; thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The funeral service will be Saturday morning, March 22nd, 2025, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Clayton Dowd officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Crossing Cemetery.

Pallbearers are David Beasley, Dwayne Beasley, Johnny Ray Beasley, Kenneth Beasley, Wendell Beasley, and Drayton Dowd.
