Jerry D. Coplin

Mr. Jerry D. Coplin, age 72, of Lyons, died Monday, October 20, 2025, at Oxley Park Health & Rehab in Lyons. He was a native of Telfair County, growing up in Appling County and lived in Lyons most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Appling County High School and attended South Georgia State College. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Jerry was an automotive mechanic, and he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and yard work. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Coplin, Sr. and Mavis Lucille Mobley Coplin; and four siblings, Jackie Coplin Bowers, Oscar Coplin, Jr., Ray Coplin, and Larry Coplin.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Annette Murray Coplin; three daughters, Amanda Coplin, Tabitha Coplin, and Jill Edwards and husband Josh, all of Lyons; one brother, Johnny Coplin and wife Beverly of Guyton; five grandchildren, Heather Harley, Corey Winge, Morgan Easton, Desiree Coplin, and Talicia Corbin; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Per his wishes, there will be no service.
