Miss Jean Harden, age 79, of Lyons, died Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County and lived in Lyons most of her life. She worked at Toombs County Manufacturing many years, and she enjoyed decorating. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, the church choir, Senior Saints, a children’s Sunday school teacher, and served as Church Hostess. She is preceded in death by her parents, M.C. Harden and Wilma Osborne Harden; and sister, Lois Harden Holton.
Her family includes one sister, Annette Harden Mosley and husband Buddy of Cedar Crossing; one aunt, Glenda Craft Osborne of South Thompson Community; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a cousin, Kate Miller Breedlove of Lyons.
The funeral service will be Thursday, December 30th, at 12:00 noon at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Glenn Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday morning from 11:00 until just prior to the service.
