Jan Wilkes

Mrs. Jan H. Wilkes, age 66, of Oak Grove Community in Montgomery County, died Monday, November 21, 2022, at her home after an extended illness.  She was a native of Vidalia, a 1974 graduate of Montgomery County High School, and lived in Montgomery County all of her life.  Jan was manager at McDonald’s and Dairy Queen in Vidalia for many years.  She attended North Thompson Baptist Church, and she enjoyed riding the countryside and spending time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wilkes; sons, Justin Wilkes and Jody Wilkes; and parents, David Louis Hinton and DeAvis Blaxton Williamson.

Her family includes her son, Larry “Bo” Wilkes and wife Ann Woods of Oak Grove; four grandchildren, Luke Wilkes, Logan Wilkes, Emily Wilkes and Laci Wilkes; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Wilkes and Gracelynn Wilkes, and two more great-grandchildren to be born soon.

The funeral service will be Friday morning, November 25th, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until just prior to the service.
