Mr. James “Jamie” “Boss Man” Edwards, age 72, of Lyons, died Monday, October 20, 2025, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a sudden illness. He attended Lyons Senior High School, and he worked many years at Lyons Concrete that later became Evans Concrete. He enjoyed fishing at Swift Creek and building pallets.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Larkin “Big Boy” Edwards and Dorothy L. Flowers Edwards; and four siblings, Linda Edwards Johnson, Talley Edwards, Bennie Edwards, and Danny Edwards.
He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Jeanette Edwards of Lyons; two daughters, Sarah Edwards Flagg (USAF) and husband Robert of Boise, Idaho, and Sherry Edwards Quintana and husband Lucho of Lyons; seven siblings, Dale Edwards Introcaso of Collins, Pat Edwards Watson and husband Laymon of Gray, Marilyn Edwards Sikes of Collins, Laura Edwards Fountain of Treutlen County, Phillip Edwards and wife Linda of Lyons, Leroy Edwards and wife Carol of Statesboro, and Josh Edwards and wife Jill of Lyons; nine grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no service.
