Mr. James W. Brannan, age 72, of Cedar Crossing, died Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, following an extended illness. He was born in Dublin and lived Toombs County most of his life. He was an automotive and diesel mechanic most of his life, working at Triangle Construction and Sikes Machine Shop. He attended Sons and Daughters Church, and he enjoyed fishing and traveling. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Brannan and Hattie Juanita Tootle Brannon; four brothers, Robert, Fred, Norman, and Mann Brannan; and three sisters, Nellie Dean Fish, Geneva Rountree, and Betty Jean Phelps.
His family includes his wife, Georgia Sue Brannan of Cedar Crossing; two daughters, Amy Rich of Metter, and Amber Bieschke and husband Dylan of Arkansas; one brother, William Brannan and wife Priscilla of Jacksonville, Florida; four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon, January 3, 2025, in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home from 2:00 until just prior to the funeral service at 3:00 with Pastor Wayne Rountree officiating.
