Jack Harden

Mr. Jack Harden, age 91, of the Ohoopee Community, died Monday, March 3, 2025, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia following an extended illness.  He was a native of Toombs County and lived in Ohoopee all of his life.  As a child, he began working with his father on the family farm, which he was a part of most of his life.  During his time farming, he also worked at Oxford Industries, Lyons Stockyard, and was a school bus driver for Toombs County Schools and Vidalia City Schools.  He was a lifelong member of Ohoopee Holiness Church, and he attended Lyons Holiness Church.  What he held as the utmost importance was going to church and worshipping God.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Franklin Harden and Sallie Vera Bowen Harden; two brothers, J.W. Harden and C.F. Harden, Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Harden Bueford and Shirley Harden.

His family includes one brother, Thurston Harden of Ohoopee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Friday afternoon, March 7th, 2025, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Donny Hughes and Pastor Terrell Copeland officiating.  Burial will follow at the Ohoopee Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
