Irving Williamson Obituary

Mr. Irving Williamson, age 74, of Lyons, died Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Oxley Park Health & Rehab in Lyons, following an extended illness.  He was a native of Toombs County, living in Lyons most of his life, and he was a 1967 graduate of Vidalia High School.  He was former manager of Williamson Liquor Store, and he was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Vidalia.  Irving enjoyed fishing, yard work, tinkering, playing golf, and watching football.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Williamson and Emily Brown Williamson; and two brothers, Edward “Shugie” Williamson and David Williamson.

His family includes two daughters, Emily Taylor and husband Alex of Lyons, and Ashley Williamson and husband Max Pinzon of Vidalia; one sister, Teresa Williamson Wheeler and husband Al of Lyons; one brother, Gerald Williamson and wife Sue of Cobb County; one grandson, Trey Monroe and wife Brittney of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Remington Monroe and Elizabeth Monroe; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Friday, November 17th, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.
