Mrs. Irma Collins Williamson Kipperchuck, age 93, of Vidalia, died Saturday, March 21, 2020, in The Oaks - Bethany in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Toombs County and lived in Vidalia and the Racket Town Community most of her life. Due to her love of children, she worked at the Scottish Rite Children’s Home in Conyers for several years. While raising six children, she received her Nursing Degree and nursed at the Bethany Home and as a nurse in the emergency room at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro. She was a former member of the Pendleton Springs Baptist Church and was a member of The Bethel Church of God in Cedar Crossing. She was preceded in death by two husbands, John Curtis “Stone” Williamson, Sr. and John Kipperchuck; one son, J.C. Williamson; a great-grandson, Kayson Sharpton; her parents, George Washington Collins and Ola Williamson Collins; one sister, Lynah Shaw; and two brothers, Oertell Collins and George Milford Collins.
Mrs. Kipperchuck is survived by five children, Olivia Williamson and husband Edward Storer of Seattle, Washington, Finta Beasley and husband Wayne, Brice Williamson and wife Dee, and Norman Williamson, all of the Racket Town Community, and April Whitaker and husband Charles of Vidalia; one sister, Jean Hanna of Rochelle; one brother, Dr. Deron Collins of Merritt Island, Florida; one sister-in-law, Dr. Jan Collins of Miami, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 24th, at 11:00 a.m. in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.
