Inez L. Smith

Ms. Inez L. Smith, age 83, of Lyons, died Monday, April 27, 2020, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness.  She was a native of Treutlen County and lived most of her life in Toombs County.  She retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections in Tattnall County and was Baptist by faith.  She enjoyed her horses, her furbabies and dancing. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Trull; former husband, Jack Trull; her parents, Isaac Smith and Jewell Caraway Smith; and one brother, Theodore Smith.

Ms. Smith is survived by one sister, Evie Roberts of Lyons; one brother, Calvin Smith and wife Dyanne of the Blue Ridge Community; numerous nieces and nephews, including Lesley McCoy and husband Darrell of the Petross Community, Sandy Roberts Hattaway and husband Jerry of Cedar Crossing, and Richard Roberts and fiance’ Crystal Moore of Lyons.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the Lyons City Cemetery with Reverend Mary Ennis and Sandy Hattaway officiating.
