Hunter Conner Obituary

Montgomery County,

Mr. Hunter Oris Conner, 54, of Montgomery County, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, in Navicent Hospital in Macon, as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident on June 8th.  He was a native of St. Mary's, living in Columbus for several years and recently moved to Uvalda.  He was a 1982 graduate of Lyons Senior High School where he was quarterback for the Bulldogs.  He was graduate of the Auburn University.  He was a Strength Coach for Auburn University, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Uvalda.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, F.J. and Carrie Mae Williams Conner, and his maternal grandparents, Victor and Carol Montoya.

Hunter is survived by his wife, Carra Kight Conner of Montgomery County; his three sons, Logan Conner and Matthew Conner of Columbus, and Joseph Conner of Telfair County; his father, Johnny Mack Conner and wife Ida Jane of St. Simons Island; his mother, Donna Montoya Conner of Vidalia; two brothers, Johnny Mack Conner, II, and wife Patricia of Lyons, and Michael Thad Conner and wife Lucretia of Statesboro; one niece, Emily Conner of Lyons, and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
