Greg Partin

Mr. Greg Partin, age 68, of the Johnson Corner Community, died Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his home, after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Toombs County, living in Johnson Corner all of his life, and was a 1975 graduate of Toombs Central School.  He worked at Pike Electrical for nineteen years, was a truck driver most of his life, working with AAA Cooper, currently with Trane Technology, and he was a lifelong farmer.  He was a member of Edmond Chapel Church of God.  Greg enjoyed the outdoors, fishing at ponds and at Rocky Creek and spending time with his family.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Pittman Partin; former wife, Cindy Raper Partin; parents, Herbert Partin and Meredith Morris Partin; and sister, Cynthia Partin McAlum.

His family includes two children, Brad Partin and Wendy Partin Hester and husband Toby, all of Johnson Corner; six grandchildren, Carley Collins and husband Ethan of Vidalia, Destiny McCoy and husband Cory of Johnson Corner, Dawson Partin and wife Morgan of Cedar Crossing, Tolen Hester of Johnson Corner, Gage Smith of Lyons, and Alston Partin of Alma; seven great-grandchildren, William, Hannah, Bentley, Raylen, Adalynn, Blair, and Brett; one brother, Ricky Partin of Uvalda; one sister, Tabitha Partin Hutto of Johnson Corner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, from 3:00 until just prior to the funeral service at 5:00 at Edmond Chapel Church of God with Bishop Gilbert Wommack officiating.
