Grace (McDonald) Morris

Mrs. Grace McDonald Morris, age 90, of Higgston, died Thursday, June 25, 2020, in Treutlen Health and Rehabilitation in Soperton, after an extended illness.  She was a native of the Kibbee Community in Montgomery County and had lived in Higgston since 1951.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Higgston Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing and was a caregiver.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Edgar Morris; a daughter, Anita Morris; parents, Robert Talmadge McDonald and Flossie Elizer Phillips McDonald; and eight siblings.

Mrs. Morris is survived by three sons, James Morris and wife Marian of Brooklet, Danie Morris and wife Beth, and Larry Morris and wife Lane, all of Higgston; five grandchildren, Angie Sanders and husband Scott of Lyons, Lori Morris of Smyrna, Lynn Morris Collum and husband Jodee of Sally, South Carolina, Brooke Morris Salter of Brooklet, and Jordan Morris McIntyre and husband Ian of Charlotte, North Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Blaine Salter, Hayden Collum and Colton Collum; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, June 28th, at 2:00 p.m. in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Clarence Best officiating.
