Georgia "Liz" Elizabeth Jones

Mrs. Georgia Elizabeth “Liz” Jones, age 44, of Vidalia, died Sunday, December 29, 2024, at her home, following an extended illness.  She was a native of Ennis Texas, living in several states before moving to Georgia in 1998 and to Toombs County in the early 2000s.  She was a homemaker. Baptist by faith, and she enjoyed flower gardening.  She is preceded in death by a son, Jacob Michael Strange; and mother, Sharlotte Anne Mullins Wheeler.

Her family includes her husband, Phillip Lee Jones; two children, Ryan Strange and Hailey Spainhour, all of Vidalia; and her father, William “Bill” Sailk of Mabank, Texas.

A private graveside funeral service will be Saturday morning, January 4th, 2025, at 11:00 at Sharpe Cemetery near Alston with Pastor Andrew Nelms officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice Foundation, PO Box 2277, Vidalia, GA 30475.
