Mrs. Gail Dasher Shaw, age 78, of High Falls, Georgia, died Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home after a brief illness. She was a native of Chatham County, growing up in Savannah where she lived thirty years. She lived in Vidalia for two years before moving to Jackson, Georgia and has lived in High Falls for the past seven years. She worked as a nutritionist, was a nutritionist over seven counties in central Georgia for Head Start, and she helped countless children throughout her life and career. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and she loved interior decorating.
She is preceded in death by her twin sons, Joshua and Jeremiah Shaw; parents, Henry Calvin Dasher and Lucille Mosby Dasher; and two brothers, Randy Dasher and Danny Dasher.
She is survived by her devoted husband of forty-eight years, David Shaw of High Falls; two children, Donna Shaw Smith and husband Gary of Jackson, and Matthew Shaw and Michelle of Pickens, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, November 22, 2025, at 3:00 at Pine Crest Cemetery.
