Mrs. Frances F. Findley, 84, of the Blue Ridge Community, died Wednesday November 4, 2020, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, following an extended illness. She was a native of Tattnall County, a 1954 graduate of Reidsville High School, and lived in Toombs County since 1958. She was a licensed practical nurse and a homemaker. In her early life, she worked with Dr. W.W. Aiken in Lyons. She was a member of Marietta Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, W. L. Findley; parents, Little John Fowler and Marie Morgan Fowler; one brother, William Fowler; two sisters, Jackie Howell and Inez Gray; and a sister-in-law, Lillian Powell.
Survivors include four children, David Findley and wife Angela, Debbie Smith and husband Danny, all of the Blue Ridge Community, Donna Bryant and husband Frank of Ailey, and Delaine Braddy and husband Alan, of the Blue Ridge Community; three sisters Johnnie Smith of Lyons, Jean Tapley and husband Jack of Vidalia, and Nan Kight of Lyons; nine grandchildren, Megan Mabry, Whitney White, Molli Smith, Corey Bryant, David Findley, Madi Smith, Hunter Braddy, Jarett Bryant, Ashtyn Braddy; four great-grandchildren, Lawson Browning, Ramsey Bryant, Maecon Boatright, and Charlie Kate Lynn; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Marietta Free Will Baptist Church on Friday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to service.
The funeral service will be held Friday, November 6th at 2:00, in the Marietta Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Irvin Murphy, Chris Clark and Debbie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Findley Family Cemetery.
