Mrs. Frances Cooper Williamson, age 80, of Vidalia, died Monday, July 27, 2020, in Meadows Health in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Lyons and was a graduate of Lyons High School. She married her late husband who was a Marine; they lived in several states before his retirement and settled in Vidalia in 1976. She worked at Oxford Industries, S&H Green Stamp Store in Vidalia for many years and was owner of the Bulldog Restaurant in Lyons. She was Baptist by faith and enjoyed cooking, reading, game shows and fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband Earnie Williamson; a daughter, Felecia Williamson Crosby; parents, Marvin Brice Cooper and Mariah Eller Clifton Cooper; and a sister, Mary Sue Lynn.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by two children, Brenda Williamson Galbreath and husband Michael, and Ronnie Williamson and wife Kim, all of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Shawn Galbreath and Candace Galbreath of Pace, Florida, LeShae Moore and husband Partin, Brittany Crosby and fiancé Kelly Dunford, and Earnest Bryce Williamson, all of Vidalia; six great-grandchildren, Karson, Jaelyn, Karter, Kace, Sophia and Wyatt; several nieces and nephews, including a nephew, Tab Lynn and wife Renee of Garden City.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 29th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
