Frances Lawrence

Mrs. Frances W. Lawrence, age 81, of Uvalda, died Sunday, July 26, 2020, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was a native of Ashton, West Virginia, living in Brunswick for several years before moving to Montgomery County in 1983.  She retired from Sears, working in Brunswick and Vidalia and was a display representative for several companies.  She was a member of the Uvalda Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Waugh and Bertie Pike Waugh.

Mrs. Lawrence is survived by her husband of fifty years, Farris Lawrence of Uvalda; two sisters, Mary Bias and husband Jerry, and Lulu Waugh; one brother, Don Waugh, all of West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 28th, at 2:00 p.m. in the Uvalda Baptist Church with Pastor Adrian Bell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Alston.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
