Mrs. Frances Burke Graham, age 90, of the Charlotteville Community, died Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Memorial Health in Savannah following a brief illness. She was a native of Montgomery County and grew up there and Toombs County. She lived in Savannah and the Tampa, Florida area for several years before moving to Charlotteville in 1969. While living in Florida, she worked for Jack’s Cookie Company, and after returning to Charlotteville, she worked at Eagle Restaurant in Mt. Vernon and Mt. Vernon Elementary School in the lunchroom. She enjoyed gospel sings, shopping, and traveling. She is preceded in death by her husband Linbergh Graham; son, Tommy Joe Graham; parents, Oval “O.O.” Burke and Dora Mincey Burke; two brothers, Bobby Burke and Joe Burke; and son-in-law, Steve Lewis.
Her family includes three children, Archie Graham, Sue Graham Lewis, and Beth Graham Hall and husband James; one brother, Bill Burke, all of Charlotteville; six grandchildren, Trent Graham of Brunswick, Stasha Lewis Richardson and husband Matt of Higgston, Paige Graham and husband Jonathan Luke of Lyons, Shannon Lewis and wife Lucy of Douglas, Skyler Hall of Charlotteville, and Dori Hall of Douglas; two great-grandchildren, Ella and Cam Richardson, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, August 13th, at 3:00 at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. Burial will follow later at Smyrna Church Cemetery.
