Faye Pollette Meeks, age 95, of Soperton, died Monday, September 1, 2025, at Treutlen County Health & Rehab following an extended illness. She was born May 11, 1930 in Treutlen County to James Henry Pollette and Alice Branch Pollette. She lived in Soperton most of her life and was a 1947 graduate of Soperton High School where she played basketball. She was a homemaker and member of Red Bluff Baptist Church in Treutlen County. Her love and passion outside of her family was her many horses she had, especially her special mare, Georgia Lindy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two children, Ricky Meeks and Gerry Meeks; brother, E.L. Pollette; and long-time companion, Oscar Ennis.
She is survived by two daughters, Katrina “Dusty” Meeks Connelly and husband Bob of La Conner, Washington, and Ashley Hayes Meeks Powell and husband Stacey of Ailey; seven grandchildren, Brian Meeks of Soperton, Camille Connelly of La Conner, Brett Connelly Pool, Kristin Connelly, both of Washington, Sage Powell, Seth Powell, and Saylor Powell, all of Ailey; and four great-grandchildren, Kylie, James, Ethan, and Myles.
There will be no service.
