Essie C. (Corbitt) Wilson

Essie C. Wilson, age, 94, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her family’s home place in Willacoochee, Georgia after a brief illness.  She was born April 13, 1930, in Coffee County to the late Ike Corbitt and Eva Vickers Corbitt.  She was a homemaker, and she loved working in her yard, taking care of her pets and flowers and watching Hallmark movies, but her greatest passion was loving her family.  She is preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Wilson; her parents and ten brothers and sisters.

Her family includes two nieces, Betty Latrell Gillis of Willacoochee and Barbara Diane Meeks of Axson; and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be Saturday morning, March 1st at 11:00 at Sharpe Cemetery near Alston with Pastor Melvin Kramer officiating.
