Mr. Elbert Earl “Stub” Reynolds, age 79, of Uvalda, died Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a brief illness. He was a native of Toombs County, and lived there and Montgomery County all of his life. He logged all of his life, and with Cato Timber for many years. He was Baptist by faith, and he enjoyed gardening, yard work, and spending time with his grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a stepdaughter, Barbara Cason; great-granddaughter, Addelyn Cox; parents, Elbert Reynolds and Lovie Grace Rollins Reynolds; twin sister, Flossie Reynolds; and brother, Billy Reynolds.
His family includes Patsy Wade of Uvalda; two daughters, Pam Reynolds Williams and husband Dan of Uvalda, and Patricia Ann Reynolds Bratton of Milledgeville; two stepchildren, Melissa Hutcheson and husband Chad of Oak Park, and Michael Wade of Uvalda; one sister, Betty Reynolds Caves of Cedar Crossing; two brothers, Bobby Reynolds and wife Juanita of Cedar Crossing, and Jimmy Reynolds of Vidalia; eight grandchildren, Cody Williams and wife Erin of Hazlehurst, Jessi Williams of Watkinsville, Jake Bratton of Milledgeville, Courtney Cox and Michael Adams of Baxley, Jonathan Cox and wife Katie of Statesboro, Tyler Hadden and wife Lauren, Kyle Hutcheson, all of Vidalia, and Brent Hutcheson and wife Taylor of Oak Park; eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Thursday, April 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Crossing Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
