Mrs. Edna Rose Moseley O’Neal, age 72, of Vidalia, died Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia following a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, growing up in Lyons and living there and Vidalia all of her life. She attended Lyons High School. She was a homemaker, but worked at Northland Cable, Dudley Sports, Toombs Nursing Home, and S&H Green Stamps Store. She attended First Baptist Church of Vidalia and was a long-time former member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lyons. She loved flowers, crosswords, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and True Crimes. She enjoyed clipping coupons and was known to her family and friends as the “coupon queen”.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Talmadge “Reggie” O’Neal; parents, Jesse Lee Moseley and Mary Wilma Kight Moseley; one sister, Jewel Moseley; and two brothers, Robert Lee Moseley and Jimmy R. Moseley.
Mrs. O’Neal is survived by two children, Tasha O’Neal and Chris O’Neal, both of Vidalia; two grandchildren, Cade O’Neal and wife Cassidy of Higgston, and Mikela O’Neal of Vidalia; one great-granddaughter, Cecilia Rose Marie O’Neal; three sisters, Evelyn Moseley Nobles and husband Larry of Washington, Georgia, Gloria Moseley Dismuke of Normantown, and Dianne Moseley Hattaway of Douglas; one brother, David Moseley and wife Dale of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026, at 11:00 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with her nephew, Pastor Brian O’Neal officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:30 until 10:30.
