Mr. Earl Williamson, age 88, of Vidalia, died Sunday, January 18, 2026, at his home following an extended illness. He was a native of Montgomery County, growing up in Kibbee and attended Kibbee School. He was in the sheet rock business for more than sixty years and was owner of Earl Williamson Drywall. He was a long-time faithful member of the Higgston Baptist Church and was always willfully involved in all events and projects of the church. He had a love for horses; he enjoyed motorcycles, farming, and growing crops.
He is preceded in death by an infant daughter; parents, J.C. Williamson and Reba Braddy Williamson; three siblings, Jearline Williamson Howard, W.H. Williamson, and Willa Jean Williamson Morris; and son-in-law, Elroy Kahanek.
Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife 67 years, Audrey Williamson of Vidalia; three children, Cindy Williamson Kahanek of Vidalia, Tim Williamson and wife Debbie of Higgston, and Jeffrey Williamson of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Justin Williamson and wife Melissa, Ailey Williamson Howell and husband David, all of Higgston, Cole Williamson and Zachary Williamson, both of Vidalia; one great-grandson, Jackson Earl Williamson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026, at 11:00 at Higgston Baptist Church with Pastor Murray Ward officiating.
The family will receive friends at Higgston Baptist Church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
