Duston Harden

Mr. Duston Harden, age 37, of Vidalia, died Monday, November 4, 2024, at his home, after sudden illness.  He was a native of Toombs County and lived there most of his life.  He attended Toombs County and Vidalia City Schools and graduated from Ft. Stewart Academy.  He was a craftsman with EWP in Reidsville and worked at Savannah Luggage Works.  He attended Connections Church in Vidalia and Christian Family Center in Treutlen County.  He enjoyed woodworking, yoga, fishing, and he loved helping and giving time to others.  He is preceded in death by a stepson, Kyle Jackson.

His family includes his mother, Betty White Sowell and husband Scott of Vidalia; father, William Harden of Johnson Corner; brother, Dylon Harden of Johnson Corner; one stepdaughter, Rebecca Jackson of Johnson Corner; stepbrother, Bryson Sowell of Vidalia; one stepsister, Victoria Sowell Staten of Valdosta; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.

A memorial service will be Thursday morning, November 7th, 2024, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Melvin Kramer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to the Forge Recovery Center, PO Box 99, Vidalia, GA 30475.
