Lyons,
Mr. Duncan Wallace, age 21, of Lyons, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, worked as a carpenter for Brent Stephens, and was Baptist by faith. He loved riding four-wheelers, playing cornhole, being the class clown, being at the river, racing dirt bikes, and spending time with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Talmadge and Evelyn Joyner; paternal great-grandparents, Pete and Jeanette Whitaker; and cousin, Josh O’Conner.
Mr. Wallace is survived by his mother, Christy Connell of Lyons; his father, Ricky Wallace of Vidalia; two sisters, “Sissy” Jasmine Connell of Lyons and Sara-Bella Wallace of Ailey; maternal grandmother, Wanda Kersey and husband Elton of Vidalia; maternal grandfather, Sterling Coleman of Vidalia; one maternal step-grandfather, Kenny Bryant of Vidalia; paternal grandparents, Nanny and Papa Williamson of Lyons; one aunt, “Mimi” Misti Brown of Macon; one uncle, “Bubba” Chris Kersey of Vidalia; one nephew, Hendrixx Coleman Blackshear of Lyons; seven cousins, Thomas Jayden Brown of Macon, Ashley O’Conner of Ailey, Tiffany O’Conner, Cassie Steedley, Lance Joyner, Breanna Barfield, and Heidi Barfield all of Lyons; great aunt, Linda Joyner of Lyons; best friends, Cameron Barfield and Mason McLemore both of Lyons; and several other cousins.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 12th at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in Ferguson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
