Mrs. Doris Donaldson Still, age 88, of Vidalia, died Friday, November 1, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Bulloch County, as a child she moved to Camden County, graduated high school there in 1954, and soon after high school, married her late husband and lived in Vidalia the rest of her life. She worked in the Piggly Wiggly Advertising Department for more than twenty years and at Meadows Regional Medical Center in the Radiology Department for many years. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia. She enjoyed watching soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless, game shows, and spending time and loving on her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Claude Still; parents, William Gordon Donaldson and Ethel Beasley Donaldson; brother, Talmadge Donaldson; and son-in-law, Charlie Reese.
Her family includes four children, Debbie Still Reese and Ronnie Still, both of Vidalia, Kathy Still Hester and husband Jerry of Tarrytown, and Angie Still Livingston and husband Blair of West Lafayette, Indiana; grandchildren, Mat Reese and wife Jill, Kelly Reese White and husband Bryant, Tyler Still and wife Liz, Jason Hester and wife Emily, Amy Taylor and husband Dusty, Sydney Teubl and husband Jeff, Kelsey Moye, Austen Livingston and wife Nicole, Slade Livingston, and Rylan Livingston; twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Tuesday afternoon, November 5th, 2024, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Moye officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
The family will assemble at the residence of a granddaughter, Kelly White, 105 Dogwood Drive, Vidalia.
