Mrs. Doris Davis Moore, age 83, of Tarrytown, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Community Hospice in Vidalia after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, growing up in Higgston and living on Thompson Pond Road most of her life. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Old Line Primitive Baptist Church in Vidalia. She enjoyed flowers, yard work, cooking, her grandchildren; and watching the Braves and Bulldogs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel F. Moore; son, Ronnie W. Moore; parents, Pearlie Davis and Ila Mae Kennedy Davis; and two siblings, Lewis Davis and Ann Davis Williamson.
Survivors include two children, Kyle A. Moore of Columbia, South Carolina, and Lane Moore Morris and husband Larry of Higgston; one brother, Charles Davis and wife Vela of Ailey; five grandchildren, Wendy Paulk and husband Joel, Jennifer Moore Kervin, all of Dothan, Alabama, Matthew Moore and wife Katie, Kyla Moore Legaspi, all of Watkinsville, and Jordan Morris McIntyre and husband Ian of Charlotte, North Carolina; eight great-grandchildren, Cole, Taylor, Karaline, Jessi, Riley, Desmond, Walker, Teddy; a great-grandchild to be born in the fall; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Friday, June 11th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Elder Ric Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
