Dealva (Findley) Jones

Ms. Dealva Findley Jones, age 89, of Lyons, died Thursday, July 30, 2020, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness.  She was a native of the Blue Ridge Community, living most of her life in Lyons and in Vidalia since 2011.  She worked at Oxford Industries and Toombs Nursing Home for many years.  She attended the Marietta Free Will Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, and she enjoyed fishing and dancing.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Findley and Netta Monroe Findley Paradice; one sister, Iris Perkins; one brother, Pete Day; two granddaughters, Angie Clark and Rose Clark; and five great-grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Erik Johnson, Ronnie Wayne Hackle, Mercedes Hackle, Kristin Durrence and Jacob Clark.

Ms. Jones is survived by four children, James L. Clark of Five Points; Jimmy Clark and Sheila Brewton of Glennville, Billy Clark and wife Patricia of Lyons, and Deloris C. Brooks and husband Danny of the South Thompson Community; one brother, Buddy Paradice and wife Bonnie of Lyons; eleven grandchildren, Joann Clements and husband Dennis of Vidalia, Linda Durrence and husband Mark of Glennville, DeAnn Willis and husband Tony of Reidsville, Karen Kilgore and husband David of South Thompson, Michael Clark and wife Vada of Reidsville, Leslie Walker and husband Johnny of Collins, Sherri Perry and husband David of Jacksonville, Florida, Tami Wilson and fiancé Stanley Carter of South Thompson, J.R. Clark and wife Gail of Collins, Sue Ellen Tootle and husband Steven of Chancey, Teresa Taylor and husband Toby of Alma; thirty-six great-grandchildren, nineteen great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 1st, at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Irvin Murphy and Linda Durrence officiating.  Burial will follow in the Reedy Creek Cemetery in Blue Ridge.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 until just prior to the service and will assemble at the residence of a daughter, Deloris Brooks, 357 Coogan Williams Road, Vidalia.
