Cleo Patrick

Mr. Cleo Patrick, age 93, of Mt. Vernon, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness.  He was a native of the Modock Community in Emanuel County, living in the Kibbee Community for many years, and has lived in Mt. Vernon for the past forty-seven years.  He worked with Chick-a-Shae in Vidalia for ten years and retired from Copper Construction after forty-seven years.  He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Ready Men Sunday School Class.  He enjoyed fishing and Christian concerts.  He was preceded in death by his first wife of forty-three years, Virginia McGahee Patrick; parents, George Washington Patrick and Myrtie Randall Patrick; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Patrick of Mt. Vernon; six children, Teresa Jones of Mt. Vernon, “Buddy” Patrick and wife Sheila of Uvalda, Lisa Graham and husband Dwayne of Lyons, Debbie Kittrell of Vidalia, Kathy Gunn and husband Bobby of McRae-Helena, and Randy Kittrell of Dublin; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 6th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Reverend Randy McDuffie and Pastor Bobby Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 until just prior to the service.

The family will assemble at the residence of Debbie Kittrell, 3243, GA Hwy 15, Vidalia.
