Mr. Clayton Mack Chambers, age 50, of Uvalda, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025. He suffered from diabetes and other health disabilities, including blindness for over thirty years. Clayton had resided at Pruitt Nursing Home in Swainsboro for the last two years.
He was born in Vidalia, Georgia at Meadows Memorial Hospital on August 22, 1974, and went to school at Vidalia High School. He loved all and hated none. Clayton was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He made friends easily and quickly and was fond of old southern traditions. He collected snowmen and loved to listen to movies and books on audio. During his life, he had eight guide dogs, and he loved them all. Clayton was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Gale Lynch Chambers and sister, Tiffany Gale Chambers.
He is survived by his father, Jessie Mack Chambers; one sister, Sheila Denmark and husband Joe, and one brother, Jessie Clint Chambers. Clayton never married. He had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a “thousand” cousins.
A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon, February 26th, at 2:00 at Moseley Cemetery on Old River Road near Uvalda. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
