Chris Barrow, Sr.

Mr. Chris Barrow, age 55, of Lyons, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a sudden illness.  He was born in Candler County, lived in Laurens County many years, attended East Laurens High School, and moved to Lyons in 1990.  He was a carpenter, and worked with Bonanza Mobile Home in East Dublin.  Chris was Church of God by faith, and he enjoyed his cat, fishing, feeding birds and squirrels in his backyard.  His parents, Jimmy Barrow and Barbara Brannen Barrow, precede him in death.

His family includes his wife, Kathy Barrow; four children, Christopher G. Barrow, Jr., Jimmy Barrow and wife Teresa, Samantha Barrow and husband Patrick, and Anna Barrow, all of Lyons; one granddaughter, Ashley Thompson; two sisters, Victoria Askew of Sandersville, Teresa Allrid and husband Tom of Ormond Beach, Florida; one brother, Allen Barrow of Eatonton, and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held later.
