Mrs. Charlie Jo McDaniel, age 79, of the Snow Hill Community, died Friday, February 14, 2020, at her home, after a sudden illness. She was a native of the Shiloh Community in Wheeler County and was a graduate of Glenwood High School. She lived in the Snow Hill Community most of her life and was a member of White Springs Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and wildlife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus Clements and Lois Flanders Clements; one sister, Betty C. Kelly; and two brothers, Marcus Clements and Tony Clements.
Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, John A. McDaniel, Jr.; two children, Angela McDaniel Phillips and husband Pasco, and Mark A. McDaniel and Amanda Keelin, all of Snow Hill; one sister-in-law, Linda Clements of Glenwood; seven grandchildren, Joshua Phillips and wife Ashley, Catherine “Katie” Meadows and husband Kris, Elizabeth Burkett and husband Bryce, Rebecca Phillips , Kole Alexander McDaniel, Madison Alexa McDaniel and Savannah Lynn; eight great-grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews, including a special cousin, Jackie Norby of Midway.
The funeral service will be held Monday, February 17th, at 3:00 p.m. in the White Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Durden officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00.
