Mr. Charlie David Campbell, age 78, of Vidalia, died Monday, August 3, 2020, in Tattnall Healthcare Center in Reidsville after an extended illness. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama and grew up in Nashville, Georgia. He lived in Tennessee most of his life before moving to Vidalia in 2008. He was a self-employed handy man, carpenter and mechanic. He was Baptist by faith, and was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Lawson Campbell and Viola Findley Campbell.
Mr. Campbell is survived by three sisters, Ann Richardson of Vidalia, and Gail Reed and Nell Ervin of Valdosta; three brothers, Bill Campbell and wife Mary Jo of Adel; Jimmy Campbell and wife Carol Swansboro, North Carolina, and Edward Campbell of Adel; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, August 7th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery with Steve Richardson officiating.
