Mr. Charles R. Page, Sr. age 76, of Montgomery County, died Monday, September 23, 2024, morning at Atrium Health in Macon, He was born at the Connor-Bedingfield Hospital in Vidalia, GA. on December 04, 1947, to the late Cary Bradford Page and Veta Mae Webb.  He grew up in Vidalia, graduating from Vidalia High School, 1966, having participated in every sport known at that time. He was so good, yet so very slow, at all these sports that he was nicknamed Turtle. After high school, he moved to Atlanta and joined the Sheet Metal Local Union and trained as a journeyman. He lived and worked in Atlanta contributing to the building of some now well-known Atlanta Landmarks for over 10 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bo Page of Covington, Georgia and Brad Carey Page of the Petross Community.

In 1976, he moved back "home" to Vidalia having been hired to help build one of the largest construction endeavors of a rural area in Georgia. On that construction site he and many others began as construction worker, but soon became employees of Southern Company. Charles was hired on as a Maintenance Mechanic. He worked there until his retirement in 2006 moving up the ranks to Maintenance Supervisor. He was known by many as the guru of one of the main systems at E. I. Hatch Nuclear Power Plant, HPCI RCCI.

He was a member of McGregor Presbyterian Church. He loved his church and the wonderful people who sat on the pews with him and Linda. He was passionate about volunteering with the Lions Club and building handicap ramps for those in need.  He was an auxilian at Meadows Health in Vidalia.   

His family includes his wife of 41 years, Linda Page of Montgomery County. One daughter Bridget M. Wright (Michael)of Macon, GA. and three sons (and) spouses Chuck Page (Laura) Montgomery County, Sean Page (Chelsea) Toombs County and Eric McCord (Amy) Celebration, FL. His wonderful grandchildren, Britany (Nathan Tootle), Morgan Page, Peyton Page, Jackson McCord, Kyle Clark, Bryson Sowell, Anne-Marie Wright, Daniel Wright, Brooke (Sidney) Tabb, Chase (Harley) Robertson, and Colt and Brock Page. There are eight great grandchildren, Charlie, Connor, Greyson, Mr. Linclon Tootle, Maeve, and Millie Tabb, Hazelyn Robertson, and Raelyn Page; and four sisters, Carolyn Hamilton of Ailey, Ollie Page of Vidalia, Pat Lunsford and husband Bob of McDonough, and Dawn Mobley and husband Loyd of Vidalia.

The Celebration of Life will be Saturday morning, November 2nd, 2024, at 10:00 at Vidalia Presbyterian Church with Pastor Wayne McDaniel officiating.
