Mr. Charles Argo, age 60, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a native of Alamo and a 1980 graduate of Wheeler County High School. He worked at Ailey Manufacturing for several years and with Alexander Brothers Heating & Air for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing dice, and watching westerns. Preceding him in death were his parents, Richey Argo and Etta Mae Thigpen Argo; a brother-in-law, Sam Conley; and nephew, Trevor Holmes.
His family includes five siblings, Sheila Argo Carter and husband Ricky, John Argo, all of Vidalia, AbbieGail Argo Padgett of Dublin, Mary Ann Argo Holmes and husband Jamey of Alston, and Belinda Argo Coleman of Vidalia; his girlfriend, Melinda Hilton of Vidalia and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service will be Saturday, June 11th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
