Mrs. Carolyn Williams Foskey, age 95, of Uvalda, died Friday, April 25, 2025, at Meadows Park Health & Rehab in Vidalia following an extended illness. She was a native of Toombs County and lived there until moving to Montgomery County in 1977. She attended Toombs Central School and worked Ailey Manufacturing for many years. She was a member of Smyrna Church since 1962 and the Ladies Club. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She is preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Bernard Preston Foskey; granddaughter, Angela Foskey Hart; parents, Joel Dudley “J.D.” Williams and Mary Louise Poor Williams.
Her family includes three sons, Preston Foskey and wife Judy of Uvalda, Randal Foskey and wife Lynda, and Hal Foskey and wife Darlene, all of Alston; four grandchildren, Lee Foskey and wife Gina of Townsend, Julie Foskey Palmer and husband Jeffrey, Crystal Foskey Hobbs, all of Vidalia, and Craig Foskey and wife Kim of Higgston; two step-grandchildren, Amanda and Jamie; seven great-grandchildren, Darwin, Abigail, Walker, Tate, Melanie, Skylar, and Sloan; one sister, Rosemary Thompson of Reidsville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Tuesday morning, April 29th, 2025, at 11:00 at Smyrna Church with Pastor Melvin Kramer and Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Smyrna Cemetery Fund, PO Box 447, Uvalda, GA 30473.
