Carolyn Foskey Collins, age 82, of Vidalia, died Monday, July 29, 2024, at The Oaks Bethany after an extended illness. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she moved to Oak Park as a child, was a graduate of Oak Park High School and lived in Montgomery County most of her life. She worked at Stanley Blacker for many years. Carolyn was a member of First Assembly of God in Vidalia and attended Oak Park Church of God. She enjoyed yard work and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Dale Collins, and an infant son, Ricky David Collins; grandson, Judson Drew Rogers; parents, Olin Foskey and Margarette Williford Foskey; two brothers, Reverend Ervin Foskey and Ronald Foskey.
Her family includes her two daughters, Janet Collins Rogers and husband Jeff of Soperton, and Sheri Collins McVea and husband Brad of Lenox; five grandchildren, Emily Gillis Sammons and husband Benji, Jeremy Rogers and wife Nichole, and Jeffery Rogers and wife Ciera, all of Soperton, and Jason McVea and Paige McVea, both of Lenox; ten great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jagger, Jaylei, Jhett, Paisley, Journey, River, Cooper, Jolene and Riley; one brother, Reverend Larry Foskey and wife Brenda of Columbus; two sisters-in-law, Carol Foskey of Germantown, Tennessee and Una Foskey of Jesup; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1st in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until just prior to the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brad McVea officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, Georgia.
