Carolyn Bridges Obituary

Mrs. Carolyn Williamson Standard Bridges, PhD, of Vidalia, died Monday, October 21, 2019, at her home, after a brief illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, graduate of Montgomery County High School and earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from Nova University.  She was a clinical psychologist/Christian counselor and attended Anchor of Hope Church in Soperton.  She enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts.  She was preceded in death by two husbands, Wyndell D. Standard, Sr. and J.R. Bridges; and parents, Abbie Jack Williamson and Virgie Wilkes Williamson.

Mrs. Bridges is survived by her husband, Thomas Warren “Tom” Cutts; two sons, Wyndell “David” Standard, Jr. and wife Therese, and John Jeffery Standard and wife Ntosha; one daughter, Alyssa Hughes and husband Greg of Jesup; and six grandchildren, Sydnee Therese Standard, Abigail Leighanna Standard, John Jesse Standard, Maggie Claire Standard, Joshua Hughes and Hannah Hughes.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 24th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Gilbert Posey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Williamson Cemetery near Kibbee.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
