Carol Jane Kinard

Carol Jane Kinard, age 55, of Lyons, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, in East Georgia Medical Center in Statesboro.  She was a native of Lyons, as a child moved to Panama City, Florida and was a 1982 graduate of Mosley High School in Panama City.  She moved to Hinesville and earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Savannah Technical College.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville for sixteen years and currently with Pleasant View Health and Rehabilitation in Metter.  She was preceded in death by her father, George Ramsey; two brothers, Daryl E. Smith and Charlie H. Smith; one sister, Cheryl Smith Horne; and her fur babies, Izzy, Gus and Lola.

Carol is survived by three sons, Blake Williams of Knoxville, Tennessee, Brian Williams and wife Mila of Houston, Texas, and Brett Bomkamp and Briana Sechez of Atlanta; one granddaughter, Brila Mae, “Her Heart”; a grandson to be born in January; mother, Laura Memory and husband J.H. of the Kibbee Community; three sisters, Kay Spivey, Pam Memory and Heather Williams and husband Curt of Kibbee; brother-in-law, Bobby Horne of Knoxville; two nieces and a nephew, Bethany, Emily and Wesley; her partner, Saunders Fraser of Candler County; best friend, Debra Turbyfill and husband Stacey; two close cousins, Carol “Flossie” Beasley and her daughter Brittany, and Courtney “Coconut” Soley, her husband Gary and her son Jacob; and several aunts, uncles, and other nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 14th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Bobby Horne and Caleb Welch officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery in Kibbee.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 until Noon.
