Candida Michelle Sharpe

Candida Michelle Sharpe, age 37, of Wilcox County, died Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her home following an extended illness. She was a native of Wilcox County and lived in Rochelle and Abbeville most of her life. She attended Wilcox County High School and was a waitress at several restaurants. She attended Pitts Church of God and Calvary Assembly where she sang specials. Candida had a big personality; and her passion was music. She is preceded in death by a brother, Austin James Harper.

She is survived by two sons, Cayden Edward Sharpe and Dominic James Sharpe of Abbeville; father, Steve E. Sharpe and wife Trisha of Vidalia; mother, Rene’ Hall Harper; one brother, Ben Forehand and wife Tracy, all of Abbeville; two sisters, Brooke Ellis Lasseter and husband Tyler of Quitman, and Samantha Sharpe Smith and husband David of Clovis, New Mexico; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Patterson Sharpe of Decatur County; paternal grandparents, Lewis and Frances Boxx of Quitman; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday morning, September 11th, 2025, at 11:00 with Pastor Brad Boatright officiating.
