Brenda S. Young

Mrs. Brenda S. Young, age 77, of Alamo, died Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon following a brief illness.  She was a native of Jeff Davis, growing up in Snipesville Community, and she attended Hazlehurst High School.  She moved to Mt. Vernon in 1983 and lived there until moving to Alamo in 2019.  She was office manager at RCF Technologies in Vidalia.  She was a member of Helena Baptist Church and former member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Kibbee.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Mike Harris Livingston and Merle Horne Livingston; grandmother who raised her after the death of her mother, Delia Horne; one brother, James Harris Livingston; and one sister, Annette Livingston Jackson.

Her family includes her husband of twenty-seven years, Wayne Young of Alamo; six children, R. Michael Edge of Uvalda, Yolanda “Jo” Wright and husband Jeff of Lyons, Alvin “Two” Bellew and wife Alicia of Mt. Vernon, Shari D. Young of Alamo, Rosa Kennett and husband Kevin of the Workmore Community, and Cecil “Little Man” Young and wife Carla of Soperton; one brother, Donnie Livingston and wife Joann of Graham; one sister, Martha Livingston Yawn of Chauncey; twenty grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Monday afternoon, April 21st, 2025, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Roswell Chapman and Pastor Gaynor Ridgdill officiating.  Burial will follow at Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.

Pallbearers are Chandler Wright, Colby Weeks, Taylor Spires, James Edge, Kevin Kennett, and Cody Meeks.
