Mrs. Brenda Lott Williamson, age 67, of Douglas, died Thursday, May 14, 2026, at her sister’s home in Douglas following an extended illness. She was born on March 14, 1959, in Coffee County to the late Alfred Lott, Sr. and Cloteal Hutto Lott. She was a 1977 graduate of Coffee County High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from Valdosta State. She retired after twenty years from Satilla Elementary School in Coffee County where she taught 3rd grade. Brenda was a member of Georgia Retired Teachers Association and St. Paul Catholic Church in Douglas. She enjoyed oil painting, photography, cross-stitching, and going to the beach.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Williamson; an infant son, Micah Williamson; and a sister, Pam Lott.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Lynn Lott; one brother, Al Lott, Jr., both of Douglas; three nieces, Kara Harrison of Seattle, Washington and Ashley Williamson Carney and husband Eric of Vidalia, and Wendy Williamson Coyne and husband Jake of Peachtree Corners; one nephew, Keith Williamson of Buford; one brother-in-law, Donald Williamson of Vidalia; one sister-in-law, Joyce E. Williamson of Vidalia, her long-time best friend, Sheila Kirkland Hutchison and husband Verlon of Douglas; and several great-nieces and one great-nephew.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 17th, 2026, at 2:00 in Williamson Cemetery near Kibbee with Pastor Joe Phillips officiating.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Bethany Hospice and nurse practitioner, Jamie Music for their loving care and support.
