Brenda Anderson Lazarus, age 64, of Vidalia, died Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after brief illness. She was born in Tampa, Florida, raised in Lyons, and she attended Lyons Senior High School. She was an LPN and later became an RN, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She lived in Georgia, Washington state, and Florida before moving to Vidalia in 2021. She later became a nursing instructor, of which was her passion, and currently was a nurse paralegal at a law firm in Orlando, Florida. Brenda enjoyed riding her motorcycle, traveling, reading, hosting family events, and taking care of her family and their needs. A son, Ricky Anderson; parents, Walter Anderson and Madge Wilds Anderson Weitman; and sister, Kay Anderson Howard, precede her in death.
Her family includes one son, Anthony Lazarus of Menlo Park, California; one brother, Phillip Anderson and wife Karen; two sisters, Dana Roman and Shea Hullender and husband Joseph, all of Lyons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Blake Hardiman officiating. Burial will follow at Lyons City Cemetery.
