Brenda Mock Jackson

Mrs. Brenda Mock Jackson, age 67, of Cedar Crossing, died Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a brief illness. She was born on October 19, 1958, in Toombs County, growing up in Johnson Corner, and she lived in the Vidalia area most of her life. She earned an associate degree in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a homemaker and worked several years as a personal care assistant at Community Home Nursing Services in Lyons. She attended Cedar Crossing Church of God. Brenda enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, cooking, and more than anything, being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rodney Butler, Sr. and Barbara Butler McGahee; and two brothers, Ronnie Steve Butler & Rodney Butler, Jr.   

Mrs. Jackson is survived by three children, Misty Weeks Schoenly and husband Michael of Monticello, Florida, Carl Stevenson and wife Jessica of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Scotty Mock and wife Jamie of Mt. Vernon; fifteen grandchildren, Taylor Simpson and wife Corissa, Halee Mock, Sydney Bass, Brandon Mock, Eden Mock, Tobin Schoenly and wife Makenna, Bryson Mock, Thea-Grace Mock, Nevaeh Mock, Colby James, Katelynn James, Dillan Lowther, Allie Haynes, Amber Haynes, and Ashley Haynes; nine great-grandchildren; three siblings, Paul Butler and wife Renee of Cedar Crossing, Diane Butler of Cobbtown, and Kenny Butler of Cedar Crossing; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday morning, April 25th, 2026, at 10:00 at Cedar Crossing Church of God with Pastor Steven Toole officiating.
