Brenda (Wheeler) Clark

Brenda Wheeler Clark, age 72, of Lyons, died Sunday, February 9, 2025.  She was a native of Toombs County and lived there until moving to Surrency six years ago.  She worked as a paraprofessional at Toombs and Appling County schools for several years.  She was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a current member of Harmony Baptist Church in Appling County.  She enjoyed planting flowers, fishing, reading, singing, and spending time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her father, William Allen “Bill” Wheeler; and three brothers, George Wheeler, Gregory Wheeler, and Curtis Wheeler.

Her family includes three children, Melissa Bell and husband Ennis of Baxley, Franklin Randall Kilgore and wife Marie of Glenwood, and William Hardwick Kilgore and wife Tammy of Lyons; her mother, Madelle Beckworth Wheeler of Vidalia; two brothers, Charles Wheeler and Wendell Wheeler of Vidalia; three sisters, Jeanette Thurman of Jacksonville, Florida, Joyce Franke of Vidalia, and Carol Cox of Soperton; eighteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend, Gary Shene.

The funeral service will be Thursday morning, February 13th, 2025, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Kenny Hutcheson officiating.  Burial will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery Pastor David Barber officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 until just prior to the service.
